J. William "Little Bill" Standifer (1853 - October 4, 1903) was an American gunman and lawman of the Old West. He is best remembered for having been killed by noted and better known gunman John Higgins in 1903.
When there was not much separation between law and outlaw, you kind of get the idea how people believe all cops are crooks. And the ideas brought over in the late 1800s and early 1900s from those parts of Europe were people were accustomed to government police with great powers.
He was a busy man during his 50 years.

ReplyDeleteBack when men were so rough they wore their clothes out from the inside out. My hat is off to the men who built this country.
