Now there's something you don't hear about every day

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – It’s not unusual for rocks and other debris to crash through a windshield and injure a driver or passenger — but a turtle? 

A 71-year-old woman riding with her daughter on Florida’s Interstate 95 suffered a gashed forehead Wednesday when a turtle smashed through the windshield of their car, striking her, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.

    Was driving north on I-95 just north of Cocoa when a Semi fired a gopher turtle through one of my tires.

    The first cop almost hit me with a wildlife violation, till the backup cop, a state trooper, cooled his jets.

    Forget about the turtle, that first sentence lays out the problem right there. It damn well ought to be unusual for rocks or debris to crash through the windshield with enough force to injure the driver or the passenger.
