So it was the bloody shirt that tipped him off, then?

CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) A Springfield man heard a thump driving on Cross Plains Rd Friday night and thought he hit a deer or a mailbox. When he got home, an inspection of the front of his vehicle made him concerned that he may have in fact hit a person.

I'll give him credit for calling the law. Most people would've just tried to cover it up and hope they don't get caught.

  1. When the local DA decides to charge the driver with Felony Leaving The Scene the guy will realize that calling the cops was a bad idea. Doesn't matter that he did so....ALL that matters to the typical DA is that he violated a law therefore he gets to be victimized by the system.

    1. That's a sad but true statement. Still, iffins I didn't see a gold chain or some hip hop clothing stuck in the grill, I'd have called for help too. Mighty white of me, eh? Ohio Guy

Or they will kill your dog and rob you anyway.

  3. I would run a DNA test first because depending on the results I could be accused of being a racist and spend the rest of my life in prison.

  4. How can you think that you hit something and not pull over immediatly to look for damage?

    1. I hit bloody shirts at least a couple times a week.
After the first few, I quit pulling off to disentangle them.
Now, I just let 'em whip in the wind.
      Saves time.

  5. I don't think I've ever hit something with a rig and didn't hop out within a few hundred feet to take a look at wtf just happened. I've got a feeling that guy is going to get hemmed up with charges when the county prosecutor starts thinking about it the same way.
