    12) Had it happen. I was sitting in a Subway Restaurant in my old hometown with my son, who was 9 at the time and a homeless guy came wandering in off the street begging for food. Somebody else gave him a sandwich but I was mostly trying to keep myself between him and my kid. He turned and looked right at me as he went out the door and I remembered him from High School 30 years earlier. I always wish I could have tossed him a few bucks or something but I was watching my son. The weird part was that back in the day the homeless guy was one of the "smart' kids. You just never know which way life is going to turn. I'm thinking meth or mental illness or something like that must have happened to him.
