I've got students this very semester who are not as smart at #5. I think if you watch that dog's face, you can see him figure that out. -Just A Chemist
It's deliberate. I was talking to a girl at the dentist's back in the 90s who said her teacher told her to dumb down because the other students couldn't understand her big words.
#8 - We used to have a bunch of feral cats where I live. The cats would occasionally try to catch one of the many squirrels we have around the neighborhood. Never happened that I saw. I imagine house cats would fair even worse.
I had a Corgi dog that could out-run a squirrel through all of its twists and turns. The squirrel would suddenly stop and roll onto its back in a defensive posture and my dog would just look at it from about 6 inches away. She was a herding dog and had no idea how to kill. If I shot the squirrel with a BB gun she would happily eat the whole squirrel.
We have a jack russell that I watched kill a full size possum one night. It was amazing and she did not walk away when it played dead...kept messing with it until it would move, then shake the crap out of it again!
As far as I can tell one scooterist did a drive by bag snatch and, Instead of starting the scooter and giving chase, the victim thought that it would be a better idea to pursue on foot.
#2 - I guess loud pipes didn't help... #5 - The more I know dogs, the less I like people... #7 - What can I say! #9 - April fools! #10 - I know! Let's risk dismemberment or death for a few kilos of flour or sugar...
#2 My cousin, the insurance investigator, sent me a traffic cam video from China that showed a loaded coal truck literally painting the pavement with a guy riding a scooter on a freeway exit.

Squirrels can really move, saw one flat outrun a fox.

DeleteWe had a cat that would get squirrels and rabbits too. They don't run them down, it's spot and stalk or ambush.
Delete#1 -- Next, someone steals the abandoned scooter.
ReplyDeleteYeah, wtf is going on there?
