Who needs Uber in Chicago?

A suburban man was carjacked at gunpoint as he sat outside a Dunkin location near Goose Island on Wednesday morning, according to a CPD report.

Police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli said the 32-year-old victim was sitting in his SUV on the 800 block of North Milwaukee around 6:15 a.m. when the offender opened his driver’s door and ordered him out of the car at gunpoint.

  1. I was on the way home from work one day in '64 or so. I was stopped at the last light before getting on the expressway. A large Black person opened the passenger door and got in. Turned out he just wanted a ride, I don't know how far but I got off at the first exit and he got out. I never went without locked doors again. Black privilege.

  2. There is a simple solution to car thefts: don't allow responsible people to own cars.
This is Chicago, and as we all know, solutions like this work, just like their anti-gun laws.

  3. You gotta love it. A decrease in the increase. Sounds like our government statistics when they report so called good news.

  4. Probably sitting there oblivious to surroundings.

  5. Sitting outside of Dunkin? Probably a laid off cop reminiscing about old times.

  6. Sitting in Shitcago or any other junglefied city at 6:15 AM without the doors locked is tantamount to playing Russian Roulette with 4 rounds in the cylinder of a 6 shooter.

  7. This is the Naked City. There were 403 other carjackings here in Chicago since the start of the year. There were 1404 last year.

It's completely replaced the Knock-Out Game among the junior high set.
