As Tal Bachman notes at Steynonline, it’s now our state religion, a state religion in a country that—constitutionally and for good reason—isn’t supposed to have one.
But “Wokism” is yet more than that, too. It’s a mass psychosis similar to many that have arisen throughout history when the masses followed leaders who, in their zeal or self-interest, took them to disastrous ends.
WOKE is an acronym that stands for White is OK Everywhere.

ReplyDeleteCivil War-II ain't gonna happen. The Conservative Deplorables are too complacent, unorganized, uncommitted and the Progressives know it. They're using the slow, steady destroy the culture's moral ethos piece by piece while we're happy sitting around making bellicose comments on the internet. DeleteCivil War II has to happen - the only difference is this one will be more vibrant and diverse than the last one, with more factions vying for supremecy. Some will ally with others - we may be seeing this now with the skyrocketing black attacks on Asians. Facing off against Whitey will be the blacks and possibly the subversive jews that are driving and funding woke militancy. Interesting times are ahead.
Not only that, but the TradAms are aging out. The average age is probably what: 45, 50, maybe even 55? Not really the age you want for warfare. The Volkssturm weren't particularly good, and the Romans weren't happy whenever "it was down to the triarii".

No civil war. Just a breakup into provinces, as all decaying empires do. First a little at the edges, then all at once. Recent state efforts at federal nullification are a nice trend. Very encouraging. Coming soon, state and county defense forces.

Bogside is quite right, the modern American's religion is materialism. The women demand access to cheap Chinese plastics. Our ideals are safety and convenience, no longer is it freedom, that's dangerous. The vast majority despise freedom in fact, they want laws and taxes on "other" people. And the entire "United We Stand" creed is stood upon its head by "Diversity is our Strength and all cultures are equal". The US is Balkanized.
ReplyDeleteThere's not many people that will leave the big game except to waddle to the frig. It's been so for decades too. Those that try to resist, those that are willing to break things, will be lectured by the ubiquitous male and female Karens among us. The US is already a socialist country but that's not good enough for Big Sister.
The Boomers are the worst, although not the only culpable generation. One could argue the worst generation was the one that gave us the 19th and our nanny govt. since 2/3rds of the women voted against the mean tweeter. Decades of blowing up other countries couldn't have occurred without the Boomer's proud apathy and indifference to all that is not the self. That bill is going to come due. And the US can be broken apart just like the old Soviet Union was too, except it won't happen so peacefully.
America was always going to fall, because Americans are attracted to various Christian heresies, like the rest of "The West" only more so. It is hard to keep faith when it is based on lies and perversions, but who wants to seek answers when they can just apply for cheap faith.
DeleteI know Christians exist in America, just not very many. It is absolutely true that the cult of materialism is the dominant one. That is why greed is the highest virtue and hedonism the norm. I am sure most people don't even know what materialism and hedonism really mean.
Heard a lot about the "coming civil war". The question is WHEN! We need to kick off this chivaree and SOON while there still something left of America to salvage. Wait much longer and the lefts destruction of civilization will be complete.
