Duck Lives Matter

ESCALON (CBS13) – Police say an Escalon man was charged with reckless endangerment Monday morning after firing his gun into the air to defend his pet duck.

Police say a neighborhood dog bit the duck, breaking its leg. The incident drew several Escalon police officers and the chief of police Monday morning.

  1. Ducks have always been my pals....The dog owner needs to be put down and the dog placed with a caring respectful home...Picture a youngster instead of Mr.Mallard...

  3. "Police say just give them a call."
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

    1. Mid 1980s maybe? Before that the Sheriff's Dept patrolled it.

  5. Way back in the day we track a real bad guy fugitive down hiding out there, the newish PD didn't want anything to do with helping scoop him up...so we took the our own approach...let's just say used beater cars have many uses....and getting out quick before the local yokels showed up has its advantages...

  6. Not to go off on a tangent, but this morning I woke up with the TV on and and a Daffy Duck was just starting. It was The Great Piggy Bank Robbery. Perhaps the best Daffy ever without Bugs.
