funny thing , a couple days ago i seen a guy with a electric weed wacker and hed had a little cheap chinese generator in a wagon he was pulling around running the damn thing while his wife stood there looking at him like he was stupid , i think she was right , damn fool was right by a plug in -- pic reminds me , i had a electric mower years ago that used a 120 volt dc battery pack to run it . damn battery was expensive so i scrapped it , found out the dc motor was permanent magnet and ran into a gear setup to get high enough speed for use as a mower , scrapped the gear box setup and used the dc motor as a generator , using nothing more than a blocking diode to prevent battery from running the motor i could hand crank the damn thing direct at a fairly low rpm and charge a 12volt battery fairly fast , i had it setup on a old exercise bike for awhile years ago , got tired of playing with it and i still have that motor in one of the sheds here , always wanted to use it to build a wind generator but never got around to it , it outperformed the ametek 99 volt motors i was using at the time , i just might have to dig the damn thing out for something to mess with .. figures , i don't show up here in a long time and the first thing i see makes me want to start another damn project that i'll never finish ... thanks hope you and yours are doing good
Anyone remember the EV-1’s..... One of the Chiefs at NAS Atlanta leased one..... I think it had a 2 stroke diesel in the trunk.... He loved that car....they voided his lease and crushed it.... It musta been too fuel efficient.
