"I told you that shit would come in handy, Agnes"

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) - An elderly husband and wife escaped the Elmcroft of Lebanon assisted living facility by using Morse Code training from the military on the facility's keypad.

According to the Tennessee Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities, the couple was able to exit the facility and travel a couple of blocks down the road before a stranger intervened and returned them unharmed to the living center. The pair were missing for approximately 30 minutes.

  2. "Escaped". Fuque that shit. We have two friends being held prisoner in "facilities". Oh, they get to look out the windows and wave at us as we stand outside, but no more gatherings or personal visits cuz the 'Rona. I know damned well they'd have to tie both me and the Baroness to the bed to keep us in place.

  3. A lot of these "memory care" facilities will post the escape code right on the wall next to the door. The trick is that you have to enter it backwards or use some other such trick. My personal favorite is a facility in Germany that has put a realistic but fake bus stop outside their door. Patients will follow old habits and sit on the bench to wait for a bus.
