Okay, this is pretty cool

ROME – Italian archaeologists have uncovered the fossilized remains of nine Neanderthals in a cave near Rome, shedding new light on how the Italian peninsula was populated and under what environmental conditions.

  1. If you might be curious about things like this I recommend an easy read by Nicholas Wade titled Before The Dawn. Using DNA he helps sort out what kind of creatures we may be, and why. Lots of tantilyzing stuff, language development, religion, and how is it in every place on the planet, when you place your raised index finger to your lips, every one knows "shhh"
