Wait..... WHAT???!!!

Police caught a drug dealer after he shared a photo of cheese in an online chat room, according to the BBC.

Police identified Carl Stewart by analyzing his fingerprints shown in the photo, the outlet reported Monday. Stewart admitted to conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, ketamine and MDMA while in Liverpool Crown Court.

  1. I've seen a demo at a CCC (Chaos Computer Club) conference in 2016 where the presenter got the fingerprint from a politician's advertising poster and printed a 3D replica which produced a fingerprint that fooled the standard scanning process used by the German police...

  2. Dunno. It was a plea deal. Kinda sounds like that told him that to cover for their snitch and got him to admit to everything.

  3. A well known security issue for a long time, keep your fingers, hands, and any prints out of photos, crop or scrub them when needed.
