Once the slide is with you, jamming on the brakes will make things worse. Heavier flooding behind likely has dangerous debris and will turn stationary autos sideways (or roll them).
Trying to run with it as long as possible is the only option. It looks like the car was gaining on the leading edge. With some favorable road, the driver may escape.
#9 -- I see how, but I am not sure why. The bed folder has to be expensive. Unloading the rear axles saves fuel, tires, and suspension. But, is that enough to generate a return on the expense?
Ever wonder why western log trucks load their trailers at the mill before heading back to the woods? It's mainly because the weight of the trailer over the drive axles allows them to get into places they couldn't if they were dragging the trailer, especially up steep hills. It also makes it easier to find a wide spot to get out of the way when meeting a truck coming out loaded on narrow haul roads and easier to turn around and back into the landing to get loaded. Then there's the fact that the truck above has a single drive axle. They're basically useless when dragging the weight of a trailer in the woods.
#3 Been there. Had a back-ache for a week. #5 Asshole. I hope his next girlfriend gives him Herpes. #6 I bet there is "fertilizer" in that water. He is not putting enough on to irrigate them. #7 I am not sure what they are paying her, but she is earning it. #13 I am sending this to my nephew.
#4. Just out for a bike ride with his bear. #9. Cute. Costs an extra 100k, breaks down twice a week, you probably can use the tractor as a tractor anymore without major effort to remove the trailer.
#14 Go with the flow!
