That passage is part book report, part white privilege mea culpa submitted to a federal court this month by Anna Morgan-Lloyd, one of the more than 500 Americans arrested for her involvement in the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. The 49-year-old grandmother of five from southern Indiana was charged with four counts of trespassing and disorderly conduct even though she walked through an open door and was inside the building for about five minutes. She was ratted out to the FBI by a county worker who saw her January 6 posts on Facebook.

Back when I was in the service anyone who got popped for weed could be seen the next week carrying a bible with them everywhere they went.
ReplyDeleteOh, man. We are beyond stage 4 cancer.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the three page paper I was assigned when I was charged with underage possession and trespassing. Wrote some flowery BS, it satisfied the requirement and they dropped the charges.

"People of all colors should feel as safe as I do to walk down the street.”
ReplyDeleteand does it occur to them that the people who make us feel unsafe walking down the street look a whole lot like them?
America's Bastille.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that holiday in July?
What wasn't clear is if the lawyer gave her the list or if it was an order from the judge. I think it was the lawyer taking this brainwashing upon herself to a literally captive audience.
ReplyDeleteAppointed lawyer. They are giving them lawyers who are known far left types.
DeleteShe also had to give up her 2nd A rights as part of the plee deal.

This has got to be a violation of this woman's rights. I', almost willing to bet that the detainee is white and the court appt'd lawyer is some other color, probably black or identifies as such.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when governments run amuck and have unlimited funds to ruin good people's lives.

No idea who/what Shaner is, but maybe there are clues in the article. Here's Shaner herself speaking:
Delete“I tendered a booklist to her. She has read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Just Mercy, and Schindler’s List to educate herself about ‘government policy’ toward Native Americans, African Americans and European Jews.
I don't of know many Blacks who would put Schindler's List on their struggle session/re-education reading list. And before someone goes nuts, I'm not implying Shaner is Jewish (might be, but nothing particularly points toward it).
Mao-style "struggle sessions" have arrived in what used to be the USA.
ReplyDeleteI myself find it very much in these peoples own worst interests to go on social media and make posts that show how they were in D.C. during the capitol riots. The capitol police and the feds just have to look at the cell tower records, in order to prove that they were there.
ReplyDeleteJust saying that these people should have kept their mouths shut, to stay out of jail. Even I, a person who has never been even tempted to commit a crime, knows enough to keep myself quiet. The old shoot, shovel, and shut up was made a saying for a reason.
That is how many arrests happen, because the criminal cannot keep their mouths shut, and talk to their prison buddies, and the so called buddies will squeal to try and get some good behavior points, to get out sooner.
Besides, this was not anything close to an insurrection to take over the capitol. Because the place still stands. It it ever happens, the political class, along with their media lap dogs, will know it, because the next day, bull dozers will be working on cleaning up what is left of the building. We are not there yet, but it can happen, and it won't be pretty.
When will people learn not to use FB?
ReplyDeleteMy dear ol' departed Dad used to tell me "The best way to save face is to keep the bottom half shut"....thus endeth the lesson....
ReplyDeletePlea deal my aching arse. How bout you prove what you are accusing me of. Here's a reading list ms court appointed attorney. It includes Rule of Law by Edmund Burke, The Decoration of the United States and the Constitution of the United States. And about 3 dozen others I can't think of at the moment. How bout you read and understand them, THEN you can suggest a reading list. Until then shut the hell up and prove my guilt BEYOND a reasonable doubt.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, prove me guilty or shut the fuck up, oh and shove your reading lists.
