I know you delete them once you post them, but that measure is not preventing duplicates. The elephant one was posted already, just this week IIRC. Might have been last week.
Being me, my solution would be to checksum each pic, record it, and report if a duplicate is found. But I'm a computer guy, and would automate it so I didn't have to think about it anymore, which may not be an option for you.
Must resist urge to engineer... (failed saving throw) Checksum compare won't help if the image is different size, slightly cropped, compressed (jpeg compression level), different format (gif vs jpeg), etc.
