Major marijuana grow discovered in Macon County

A 34-year-old Lafayette man was arrested earlier this month after law enforcement discovered a marijuana grow operation inside his Old Highway 52 residence.

According to Macon County Detective Jacob McClard, Deputy Josh Meador and Sergeant Jacob Law responded to a call for service on Old Highway 52 on Sunday, May 16.

While on the scene, the officers began hearing gunfire and, after every round, they heard a projectile coming into close proximity of their location.

  2. The utility companies have been monitoring high usage for a long time. With LED I am sure its gotten harder but they probably have programs that flag sudden increases just like they can tell you what your average monthly usage is.

  3. Thank god those brave men risked everything to protect us all from that crazed plant! It could of given some poor housewife multiple orgasms!

  5. Why has he cut all the fan leaves to that extent. He learned a few plant management techniques- but not how to do them properly.

Or so I've read - never ever done any of that for real....

  6. Wait a minute. They heard the shot and then they heard the projo hit? I'm calling BS. The bullet gets to the target before the sound of the shot does. Sounds like these brave officers were needing some probable cause, even if they had to manufacture it.

    saw the pot plants....
    then obtained the warrant.....
As backwards as hearing the gunfire....
    then hearing bullet hit.

  10. He over did the defoliation procedure during flower phase. 33% max otherwise stress. At least that's what I've been told?

  11. Never, ever, ever, grow on your own property. If you're caught the Feds will steal your house if the State doesn't, and legal statutes will support them.

No, it is not right. Except under the rules that "might makes right." So don't feed the beast.

  14. That light looks sodium. Caveman shit. Full spectrum LEDs and he’s prolly new to gardening by the looks of his girls. There’s a long learning curve on growing.
