A manager at a McDonald’s in Louisville, Kentucky, allegedly walked off the job earlier this week — and informed customers of the decision with a sign posted to the drive-thru’s speaker.
“We are closed because I am quitting and I hate this job,” the sign explained, according to a photo shared to social media.
Good riddance, hopefully the entitled twat will go home and stuff it’s sock collection into gasoline filled glass jars and light the town up in protest.

Sometimes you just have to walk away from a bad situation. If you're not willing to walk away from a job, some places will abuse you until you are nothing but roadkill. Whether or not it's tolerable at some of these places is very much a function of the management; it can be good or it can make you want to slit your wrists.
ReplyDeleteMy wife was in that position in her job some years ago. She used to come home crying because of the way she was treated by her supervisor. I told her to quit; she didn't have to take that crap. So she walked, and found a better job -- and in a year *she* was the supervisor and was making twice as much as she was making at the first place.
I did something similar; I gave up a very high paying job because I could see that the place I was working was imploding, the management was abusing folk, and things were only going to get worse. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. In fact, about four years later, I was invited by my old boss to give a talk at an organization he belonged to. After my talk, we went out and had a drink. He apologized for the way I was treated, but said that he had no choice -- all of his discretion was taken away by the guy above him. The next year he quit, too.
And it's not just jobs. When I was younger, I spent an evening at a family reunion near Bullhead City, AZ, drinking tequila behind the house with a cousin. We decided to go to a nearby bar, which happened to be frequented by motorcycle enthusiasts. When we walked into the bar, my cousin stopped at the entrance and shouted at the top of his lungs "Hell's Angels are p*ssies!" I just raised my hands, backed out of the bar, and ran home. The next day, my cousin showed up looking like a textbook page on blunt trauma, but claiming he'd kicked all sorts of ass. He said I was a coward. I said he was an idiot.
I took a 30% pay cut to get out of one job. While I worked for the place, I thought it was a good example of a bad example of how to run a business. After taking some college business courses, it turns out I was correct in my assessment.
