Thank God there are smarter people than me out there. If left up to me, we would still be trying to light a fire.
That's a new one on me and I've spent some time with complex gear boxes. The cut up nature of the teeth on the spherical gear makes wonder about torque limitations.

I'm thinking this is a leak from the designers of killbots...
My ex-wife bought one of those...just before she moved out.
My new shoulder joint.
Somewhere out there, someone has already 3D printed these gears, and is now using them in a machine that pounds his wife while he watches.
I'm wondering if that's a basis for a shoulder replacement module...since that's in my future.
Or hip replacement.
