Time to pony up

The Texas Public Utility Commission allowed a moratorium to expire on Friday that prevented utility companies from shutting off service for late payments.

The moratorium was put in place after February's winter storm that left millions without power for days and is to blame for at least 151 deaths, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

  1. "The moratorium was put in place...and is to blame for at least 151 deaths..." That writer quite possibly would say an AR-15 killed a bunch of people.

  2. Very interesting. ERCOT announced yesterday / today that due to major heat wave this week, that Texans could experience wide spread power outages due to high demand.

Winter cold and no electricity - pain in the butt. Summer heat and no A/C - OFF WID DEY MADAFUKKAN HEADS !!

    1. Cool showers and baths do wonders for preventing that sort of thing.

    2. As does a bowl/pot of water and a simple wash cloth. Have people become so infantilized that they can't even figure out how to supplement their natural cooling system with a little extra evaporative cooling?

Yeah, I know... It was a self-answering question.

  4. The climate control freaks forced the power companies to change their equipment. Now the equipment requires more maintenance and breaks down easier. Then on top of that the wind turbines and solar heaters are finicky and don't work unless everything is perfect.
