Your Friday Afternoon Florida Report

MIAMI, Fla. - Thinking his home was under attack, a Florida homeowner shot and wounded a 10-year-old whose father had driven him to participate in a drive-by shooting with a paintball gun, police said.

Michael Williams, 26, told Opa-locka police his son begged him to drive by a home where young people were gathered Sunday night so he could fire his paintball out the window, according to a police report released Tuesday.

  1. So, if the "story" even matches the facts, somehow the boy thought it was a good thing to "shoot his paintball gun out the window" (at innocent people at a party, practicing/simulating a drive-by shooting), and then his father provided proper parental guidance by agreeing to this (vs the ass-whipping the kid should have had for even suggesting it) and taking him out to do it.

Who wants to bet it was the father's idea?

This story actually warms my heart. Not only did the idiot father teach his son the nuances of drive-by shooting, but also allowed him to experience the consequences of aggression like this first hand. Good on them both.

Kudos to the homeowner: One shot-one punk, and a damn nice shot at that!

Hope that the kid recovers and gets religion, and hope that the father goes to jail for his role in the assault. Wheel-man in an assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, plus the 'reckless endangerment of a child' charge that overlooks the deeper problems here. Stupid fuck.
