President Biden on Thursday called on state and local governments to use funds from his $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan to offer $100 payments to individuals in order to incentivize coronavirus vaccinations.

Ha, $100 wouldn't cover my funeral costs, which could easily happen. The CDC's own VAERS database tells us that over 12,000 deaths have occurred from the various vaccines, and a dig into the data shows that the worst offender is the Pfizer-Biontech shot. So, maybe for $2 million I might take the risk, but I scoff at $100.
Before long a C Note is what the gas required to GO to the store will cost. Some places alone the Eastern Sierra in Kali have gas that costs $5-6 a gallon.
Gasoline in Bridgeport has always ran at least a buck a gallon higher than in the San Joaquin Valley. I used to fill up my tank and 4-5 gas cans before I went over Sonora Pass to keep from paying it.
We have family behind enemy lines in the mountains east of Sacramento. Living in rural Oregon, we rarely cross the border into 'California Republic' (according to the state flag), so I mounted a second tank on my truck to avoid: a) exorbitant taxes on taxes* (my 'starve the beast' strategy) plus b) the potential for b1) no fuel and b2) no electricity to operate the pumps. . I am weird that way. . . * California bumblebrats [spit] charge purchase ("sale") taxes on the total fuel price, including the fuel taxes... taxes on taxes.
If it actually were a pandemic, you wouldn't need to be reminded 24/7 on news everywhere; the bodies lying around everywhere would clue you in. So if the vaccines so great, why do you need to incentivize?
