"But... but... but I was under the $950 limit!"

AUBURN (CBS13) — A man armed with a knife suspected of shoplifting hundreds of dollars worth of items from an Auburn grocery store was arrested after a tense standoff with deputies.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says, late on the night of July 9, deputies responded to the Auburn Bel Air store to investigate a petty theft report.

  1. I was in Auburn at Christmastime back before Y2K.
    Beautiful back then.
    Just like the rest of urban CA now.

  2. What is the size/weight of 'hundreds of dollars worth of items'?
    .
    Word For The Day:
    * items
    Used in a sentence:
    * "Industry leaders at industry-leading technology-giant Apple today announced the pending release of their new item, the latest must-have for the younger set."

    In a terse rebuttal, the manager of an Auburn grocery says "Not going to happen. Some dope-fiend with a knife took 'em, and now, LawEnforcementOfficials are keeping them as 'evidence'."
