Remains from attack on Pearl Harbor identified

The remains of a U.S. Navy sailor from California who was killed in the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor have been identified, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Friday. 

Petty Officer 1st Class Charles E. Hudson, 39, of Stockton was assigned to the USS Oklahoma and died when the battleship moored at Ford Island was attacked by Japanese torpedo planes and quickly capsized.

  1. We have reached the point where almost everyone who knew these men are dead. By now those who remain accept that uncle Roy was beyond recognition when they buried him. Why do we continue to dig up their graves like this? Feral burrocracy attempting to justify the expenditure of our money.

  4. Hey, my uncle who was MIA for 73 years was brought home in 2013, and I held his remains (1 vertebrae) as I wrapped him in a cloth my Grandma, his Mom embroidered, it was besides getting married and having children, one of the most special things in my life.
