  1. Kinda hard to explain to the insurance companies a 2 car double rear end accident.

    1. It probably happens more often than you think. Twice in one month I stopped people from doing the exact same thing backing out of their parking spaces. I watched as one young woman looked both ways, checked her review mirror, started to back up, checked each direction again as the person directly opposite her started pulling out. Luckily she was looking at me, I held up the universal stop gesture. She stopped, looked at me to ask why, saw why, and couldn't stop saying thank you.

    2. I've got an 05 Ranger that's my errand truck and it's a bitch backing that little sucker out of a parking spot with its small mirrors, high headrests, and toolbox mounted near the cab. You can't see shit.

    1. I think you meant the car on the far side, the one backing out of the garage. He was the one that crossed the center line.

    2. The way I always heard it, if you are in reverse and mess up, it's your ass.

  4. Should not both have to cross the center line to prevent blocking oncoming traffic?

  5. Another fine example of Not looking before and during backing up. Possible mirror only backing until in the street. Noted non-looking in parking lots.
