The study that looked at FBI numbers shows an average of 1,384 burglaries per 100,000 residents each year. That compares to 422 per 100,000 at the national level.
FBI data from 2015 to 2019 shows the number of burglaries across the country was cut in half from 2.2 million to 1.1 million, but there are still hot spots like Memphis, the study found.
Crime dropped dramatically in my little California town and we can thank the D. A. for the change.
ReplyDeleteMind you, that is not necessarily a good thing. Since the D. A. refuses to prosecute property crimes, the police are refusing to take reports on property crime. Amazingly enough, all stats now show that property crime has dropped down to near zero.
Notoriously crime ridden city move along.
ReplyDeleteIn nola last election the DA race was a group of " reimagine " crime leftists. So as anyone that lives anywhere near the shithole knows crime is way, way out of control and juveniles are doing a lot of it. During a carjacking, which happens multiple times daily, an adult and the owner of the car, was shot and killed by a juvenile, 14 year old while stealing it. DA charged him with murder as an adult and the city went livid, he broke his campaign promise to let criminals walk.. Vandalism, carjacking and armed robbery are the main things going on there these days mostly by young black boys.
ReplyDeleteI used to love going and hanging out but can't find 1 good reason to go to New Orleans now, absolutely none. Damn shame

And once again, Memphis makes national news for the wrong reasons.
ReplyDeleteUsed to love Beale street. Now I wouldn't bother since getting robbed isn't part of my "fun plan".
