PepsiCo and Sam Adams brewer Boston Beer are teaming up to create an alcoholic version of Mountain Dew.
Boston Beer will develop and produce the drink, called Hard Mtn Dew, while Pepsi has created a new entity to sell, deliver and market the product. The beverage is expected to hit shelves in early 2022.
Did you know that Boston Brewing now makes more seltzer than beer! Disgusting...
I never liked Jim Koch anyway. Back in the early nineties when I was home brewing, folks into craft beer hated the way he sued so many small breweries for trivial things. Just to protect his fiefdom.
Don't they already have an alcoholic drink that tastes like piss? I was sure pilsner had that niche sewn up.

A more stimulating MD 2020?
ReplyDeleteIf they are gonna 'dew' this they oughta use Mountain Dew Throwback instead of the high fructose corn syrup garbage!
ReplyDeleteThey couldn't just add about 10% vodka to it? They had to invent a whole new drink?
ReplyDeleteJust what we need, more early morning drunk rednecks doing stupid stuff. Nemo
