ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A good Samaritan who was out late dip netting at North Beach in Kenai last week rescued an Alaska Wildlife Trooper and child who were swept down the Kenai River.
On Thursday around 11 p.m., Alaska Wildlife Trooper Laura Reid had been patrolling the beach to remind dip-netters of the beach’s closure when she noticed a 12-year-old boy being swept downriver toward the ocean.
A couple years ago, this gal cited me for a game violation that was actually committed by my buddy. When we went to court, my buddy testified that he was the one that committed the violation. Didn't matter to the judge, he still found me guilty and subjected me to a lecture on the importance of game laws. He did dismiss the fine but made me pay the $15 surcharge for officer training. Guess they didn't use the money to give Laura swimming lessons.
Will he get fined for dip netting in a closed area - no good deed goes unpunished...
ReplyDeleteWhat? She didn’t give him a summons for dip netting after hours.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he should have thrown her back in after grabbing the kid.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought exactly.
DeleteTrooperette. Another reason why women should not-fill in the blank.
ReplyDeleteShame on you all for assuming a 'Laura' is a female; catch up!
