Denton Diner With Viral Mask Mandate is Closing

A Denton diner that made headlines for its strict and humorous mask mandate will soon close its doors for good.

It is just one of the thousands of restaurants in the state that are shutting down during the pandemic.

*****

Now here you have the maskless owner on camera blaming construction for one of the reasons he's closing.
I never could understand a mask policy in a restaurant anyways - you have to put them on to come in, but take them off to eat. That shit's just stupid

  1. “ put them on to come in, but take them off to eat.”. It makes as much sense as being in the “NO PEEING” section of a swimming pool

    1. Dumb fuckers line him deserve everything they get. How many studies on the effectiveness of masks against a virus need to published before people realize they are useless?

  3. It is stupid. Flew out of Fort Myers recently - have to wear a mask at all times everywhere in the airport except in the terminal restaurants. The restaurant was packed, no one with a mask - as if the virus stops at the imaginary boundary.

  5. "Kat is a retired RN..." well fuck me, I bow down to your intellectual prowess. /s You make people wear a mask to walk to their table and then they can remove them to eat? You're fucking stupid.

Masks are useless, the Chinese flu numbers are CASES and are inflated anyway.

So fuck you and good riddance.

  6. I’m pretty sure by now we can all agree this is not about making sense… it never was.

I actually experienced this at a restaurant in Maine last summer. When I pointed out how utterly asinine that policy was to the hostess, she said "I know it's ridiculous, but it's on orders of the Governor. We can not risk losing our liquor and business licenses because we will not enforce it. Enjoy your meal."

  8. Had this dipshit manned up and pushed back, saying FU to the mandate he'd still be in business. People would have supported him, the dumb fuck.

  9. Mostly true but the stupid paranoids that stopped going out to eat did most of the damage.
