Gov. Lee signs executive order giving parents ability to opt-out of school mask mandates

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed Executive Order 84 on Monday, giving parents the ability to opt their children out of mask mandates enacted by local school or health boards.

In a speech given Monday, Governor Lee acknowledged that while “local decision-making is important, individual decision-making by a parent on issues regarding the health and well-being of their child is the most important.”

I can't figure this guy out. Some days he's a complete RINO, other days he rocks.

  5. If (when) school boards push back on this EO, expect a special session. Gov Lee seems to be trying to avert that outcome as the results of it would probably be a good bit more comprehensive in scope. Masking isn’t the only COVID mandates by any stretch of the imagination.

  6. You have him figured out.

He's a RINO. But occasionally he has to throw his degenerate constituency a bone so he doesn't get destroyed. It's a game to keep him in the seat of power and not ruin his future.
