Gov's office sends memo to Tennessee GOP lawmakers debunking vaccine conspiracies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Gov. Bill Lee's office has sent a memo to Republican lawmakers addressing "conspiracy theories" and clarifying misinterpretations of the governor's latest executive order regarding COVID-19 vaccines.

A spokesperson for Lee's office sent the memo to FOX 17 News, saying it's in response to concerned members and constituents who have misconstrued Executive Order 83.

  2. I read the EO and the memo. Most of the EO and memo seem ... well... not reasonable, since I think it's a symptom of the corona fearus infection. But not sinister.

Except maybe that Section 18 doesn't appear to be as restrictive as he claims in the memo. "Temporary quarantine and isolation facilities" could be interpreted broadly by the people who don't want the unvaccinated to be able to shop for food or eat at a restaurant. Just saying.

  3. Lee's EO gives Nat'l Guard the authority to enter your home and take you to a FEMA camp if you haven't gotten the jab. But, it's all a big conspiracy theory.

I have no doubt that's what kicks things off.
