Joseph John Deaser IV, 51, was found to have used the personal information of six peace officers to conduct at least 50 straw purchases of new off-roster firearms, which are firearms not on the state’s list of guns approved for sale to the general public, between December 2014 and April 2018.

Interesting. Supposedly testified in front of congress and local places but no info on the man in search. You would think in Cali he would have been obliterated. Must have shorted his payoff and no one wants press for the real criminals.
ReplyDeleteEven more interesting is he plead guilty in May of 2019.
DeleteThat was 27 out of the 48 months he was sentenced to on Thursday.
Swift justice for a bullshit "law" where the process is the punishment, eh?
So am I understanding this correctly? In the lovely state of California, a police officer is allowed to purchase guns that the common Joe isn't allowed to buy? Talk about "rules for me" situations.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. Every new gun law written and passed in California in the last 15 years that restricts the rights of California citizens has fine print written into it that says 'current and retired law enforcement officers are exempt from this law'.
Delete"Guns for we (government employees and pensioners) but not for thee (regular citizens)".
Yeah, some pigs are more equal than others. Cops can buy for themselves new full-auto weapons not available to the public.
ReplyDeleteAlso note abuse of qualfied immunity, which should remain to protect police from actual error in snap judgments, but not against a deliberately chosen illegal activity, suchvas a wrong address raid.
Civil forfeiture/ theft under color of law. END THIS TRAVESTY NOW.
Dated info: As of 1995, the only murder I know of having been committed with avregistered machine gun was a murder for hire committed by an active duty New Orleans police officer in about 1985.
It now looks like no good cops wear white shirts, and not all of the blue shirts are reliable any more. This is not a good thing, either for cities or for cops.
John in Indy
1985?
DeleteI vaguely recall a homosexual female LawEnforcementOfficial obliterated her spousal-type homosexual female life-mate life-partner.
Out of loving concern for the covid diagnosis.
Known in homosexual 'communities' as a wealth of compassion.
