A Los Angeles firefighter is under internal investigation after sharing a video of himself ranting against vaccine mandates while in department uniform.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Christian Granucci posted a video of his thoughts on vaccine mandates and required testing online Monday, and a repost of the original video on YouTube had drawn more than 15,000 views as of 10 p.m.

You've got to ask if it would've made one bit of difference if he'd not been wearing his LAFD uniform.

Yes. He has a constitutional right to free speech. If he were not wearing his uniform, then he would have a clear cut winning lawsuit against them if they attempted to infringe it. But, now things are not so clear cut. L.A. could now argue that he was disciplined because speaking in uniform makes it seem that he is a spokesman for the department.

I would sue them anyway, if I were him. A jury would probably see through the City’s charade.

  2. A news streamer this morning said some ER group is demanding decertification of doctors who make "inaccurate comments" about the covids. There is a box of approved statements, and any others will lead to cancellation.
