I saw Marshall Tucker with Lynrd Skynrd and Jo Jo Gunn at about that point in time. I’ve always thought 24 Hours at a Time, especially the intense sax buildup, among the best songs ever. Alas, they don’t play that song live anymore.
Man those were the days, The Warehouse kicked ass. $10 to $12 for a ticket, $10 for an oz of herb and a quarter for the little black kids to " watch your car ".... Marshall Tucker, Kiss, Ted Nugent, BTO, Frampton, ZZ Top live Fandango side 1 recorded there. Saw a band called Monogamy Rush as an opening band, lead's name was Frank Marino. Wow, just wow. .. Everybody played there. Check out. The Warehouse - New Orleans on Jessy Willamson cuando on YouTube No concert venue I've went to after had the energy of the Warehouse JD
I was in Saudi Arabia at that time, when Americans could still walk around the Middle East without fear.....the damage from that weak-assed peanut farmer had not yet taken hold....
They were one of my first concerts! It was at Saratoga Preforming Arts Center in NY. in the mid '70s. If I remember correctly, Pure Prairie League was there too.
One of my all time favorite bands, love me some Southern rock... Hybo
