Michigan woman accused of shooting neighbor’s cat with crossbow

A Michigan woman is facing felony charges for shooting her neighbor’s cat in the neck with a crossbow — claiming the animal was attacking her own pets, deputies said.

Taylor Rose Shipman, 23, of East Tawas, surrendered to authorities Monday on one count of third-degree killing or torturing an animal after an orange cat named Oliver was discovered on his owner’s porch July 15 with a crossbow bolt sticking out of his neck.

  1. Heart and lung shot would've done it.

  2. There should be a bounty on outdoor cats, an invasive species that kills native animals for fun.

There should be a bounty on critters who shoot peoples' pets. I bet you let your dogs run loose. The sort of biped who shoots cats usually does.
My cats are not allowed outside, but if one escaped and you shot her, you could expect me to come after you.

    2. If your cat comes into my yard and kills a chicken, scratches up my truck or causes any other damage I'm going to shot it period. If you want to come and discuss it, come on.
People who just assume everyone else in the neighborhood is in love with your roaming pet isn't that smart

  4. I would enjoy seeing that cunt (the poor excuse of a woman or human being) shot with her own crossbow. Through the neck and maybe an eye socket for added measure.

  5. I wish I had the evidence to lock away my neighbor, psycho ***** poisoned over 20 cats and now I have a rat infestation on the farm because it's the countryside. All I have is a bunch of cat pictures which isn't much to go on. Snake population increased significantly too.

  6. Was it on her property. Keep your animals in your yard. And I'll keep mine in my yard. I live in the country and if your dog or cat is on my place you can probably bet you won't be seeing it again. I've lost over 20 some chickens 5 turkeys and 21 chicks to the neighbors dogs and the quail are coming back so please don't let them stray.

    1. Second that. My dogs will kill it, or tree it.
