New Mexico Bans Gun Shows from State Facilities
U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The State of New Mexico will no longer allow gun shows at state-run facilities. The New Mexico Gun Collectors Association, which had been holding shows at EXPO New Mexico at the State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque for more than 40 years, was given verbal notice that their October show has been canceled for that reason. Rocky Mountain Gun Shows has been told that their November show at the same facility is a no-go as well. After months of cancellations ostensibly due to COVID-related issues, the gun control boom was finally lowered on promoters of these legal events where honest citizens have lawfully exercised their Second Amendment right to purchase and own firearms for decades. Gun shows are no longer welcome on state property, nor are their customers, their rights, and the boost they provide to the state and local economy.

No problem. The folks can just head south and buy their AKs at a local bodega and score some tasty home grown tacos while they're there.

DeleteAlbuquerque is over 4 hours from the border at highway speeds. Santa Fe six.
There is a large and tall fence along most of New Mexico's border withbold Mexico.
And while many federal agencies are badly co-opted and hamstrung by the figurehead's puppetteers, CBP and USBP are still (nominally) operational; the odds for success of any gun running north through New Mexico in any sort of meaningful fashion are slim.
Those state facilities are full of illegals, no room for a CITIZEN.
ReplyDeleteI'll just make sure I leave no $$$ in the state when passing through, or going to Whittington, which unfortunately is in NM, not far from Raton..
