Now tell us something we don't already know

WATERLOO, Ontario — N95 or KN95 face masks may be the best way to avoid COVID-19 during crowded indoor events. That’s the recommendation from a new study reporting most cloth masks just don’t do the job when it comes to stopping the spread of coronavirus within enclosed spaces.

  1. Masks are good, masks are useless. Coffee will kill you, coffee delays the onset of Alzheimer's. A shot of whiskey a day is good for you, alcohol will kill you. On studies? F'k all.

  2. Actually, none of the masks were very effective. And it turns out there's a problem with the study's methodology (and yes, I've been communicating with the lead author).

They tested masks for effectiveness in limiting aerosol dispersal using 1 μm aerosols. But I found a paper showing exhalation aerosols ranging from .5 μm to .9 μm. And the smaller aerosols were just the detection threshold of their apparatus.

If you want better protection against ChinCOVID, take up smoking. [grin]

  3. Even modest ventilation (2 air changes per hour) outperforms best mask.

  4. If there were bio-hazard waist receptacles everywhere for the N95 or KN95 face masks I might trust them to provide some protection. I haven't seen a bio-hazard receptacle except in the hospital. I remember my Biological Chem warfare classes I had to take every year in the military. The M-17 gas mask had to have a special filter for suspected biologicals. I don't think a N95 or KN95 paper face masks does too much when a standard M-17 filter couldn't keep the biologicals out.

It really boils down to, WASH YOUR HANDS!

  5. Masks DON"T work!!!! They're the sugar pill placebo to make everyone feel good and to give the PTB a lever for control and brainwashing. Do you remember taking multiple guess tests in school? Do you remember your teacher telling you that your first inclination was usually the most correct answer?

Now ... let's think back to that thrilling day of yesteryear or so when Dr. Fraudci was first asked about wearing masks and what his FIRST answer was. I rest my case.

The(PTB, NIH, CDC) own bought and paid for studies by at least three independent institutions, which THEY CHOOSE to ignore say the best of the masks, the N-95 are 95% effective against particles as small as .3 microns. YAY! The majority of cloth masks will stoop a particle down to 2.4 microns.

I have actually taken the time to read one of the reports and may have even included it in a post to my e-mail group.

The problem lies with the often-overlooked ... in this case intentionally ignored FACT that the Chinese Lung Rot virus weighs in at a hefty .1 micron. This is actually quite large for a virus, most of which range in size from .02 to .25 microns, i had to look that one up. Must be the spikey bit that makes the coronary virus bigger. I don't know for sure, I'm only guessing here.

    1. Well, seems to me... TheGoofballsInCharge lie habitually irregardless of if their lies benefit them.
I think they lie because that is their default setting.
      .
I do not know for sure, I am only guessing here.
But the evidence sure points that direction.
