  4. Ah, another one of your videos where I stare in morbid fascination, muttering, "No. She isn't..."

Is there a follow up video of her trying to extinguish the fire with water?

    1. Not a dead short Sir.
At room temperature lithium reacts with the oxygen in air. And rather entergetically at that.
The study of the chemistry of batteries is done in the Physical Chemistry department. I had a couple of buddies that were working with lithium back when I was at school.

  10. I didn't have the head phones on first time through. Then I noticed the black finger nail polish during the first replay, still with no head phones, so I had to listen.

I don't think wrapping a burning LI ion battery in a towel is going to put out the fire sweety.

...and you ruined a good knife in the process, not to mention gassing yourself with toxic fumes.

I guess he/she/it never heard the expression, "Don't try this at home".

  12. I just sat here thinking, "No, she isn't gonna...No she surely isn't gonna..." and then she did. Bet that won't be a mistake she makes twice, if she didn't burn down her house in the process.

  13. Personally, I expected an impalement, not a phone shattering kaboom.
