The Case of Marvin Heemeyer (Killdozer)

Marvin Heemeyer moved to Grand Lake to start up his dream business - But local companies along with the town's council allegedly stomped him down. Marvin wasn't going to allow that to happen, and he fought back in the most imaginative way possible...

  1. Needs to happen a lot more often. And the people involved need to be squashed. As long as they survive there is no incentive for them to change.

  2. Marvin Heemyer and Rachel Corrie would have made a great tag team.

  4. Sorry, but the guy was a psycho. If he accepted a generous offer TWICE and then upped it to $1,000,000, his bulbs weren't screwed in too tight.

I'm not saying the town had no culpability, but come man (as Joe would say)...

    2. I'd be very careful believing anything the media said or frankly anything the town said.

Its likely just a snow job designed to make themselves look like victims so discourage others from thinking they had it coming

    3. He's also the guy who bought property knowing it had no proper access and for many years used someone else's property for access.

  6. "You can't fight city hall."

    Well...ya can.

But it's gonna be a Pyrrhic victory unless you plan it all the way through...B,C etc., and contigencies.

    He didn't.

  7. I personally know some of the Grandby residents at the time. All those alleged "offers" came to light after the fact. What isn't in dispute was the concrete operation routinely trespassed on his property while blocking his access to US 40.

  8. I have always thought what would be funny, would be to buy an old dozer, park it in the yard and start plating it up in full view just to see the reaction.
It would bring out a sh*tpile of legal issues. Could the city seize it and assume intent etc.
Certainly would be an interesting project.

  11. Fortunately, I'd seen it before UselessTube started demanding subscriptions or they force you to sit through anti-gun propaganda and ear wax removal scams before they ALLOW you to view the videos...

  13. And this boys and girls is just why this country is in the deplorable state it's in. Because NO ONE fought back until backed into the corner. Which is exactly why gubmints of all types, from local, to county, to state, to the feral dipshits controlling every single aspect of your lives, and are attempting to control even more, the thoughts would allow in your head to the clothes you wear and soon it will be how much paper you use to wipe your ass, even HOW you wipe your ass. And you let them get away with it with nary a peep.
