Vaccine mandates will backfire. People will resist even more.
In recent weeks, calls for vaccine mandates have increasingly been heard: In a column headlined “Stop pleading with anti-vaxxers and start mandating vaccinations,” The Washington Post’s Max Boot implored President Biden to “stop making reasonable appeals to those who will not listen to reason.” Former Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius lamented that “we’re going to tiptoe around mandates,” and she’s “kind of over that.” A coalition of medical professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, has asked for “all health care and long-term care employers to require their employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.”

ReplyDeleteGot a letter from the VA yesterday thanking me for my service and asking me to volunteer again and serve by getting the vaccination. Yeah it's free, but I'm still not getting it. I don't get flu shots even though I'm offered them every year. I do get the pneumonia vaccine, however, because it's only needed every five years and as a senior, am more susceptible to getting pneumonia.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that Dr. Fauci has done more to inspire people to avoid the JAB than any one. The guys a complete tool. And your average person is smart enough to watch him continually shift positions on "Science". Bull Shit. Science is a discipline and there's nothing disciplined or consistent about Fauci's message. I had a conversation with my Doc a couple days ago and he said Doctors around the world cringe every time that idiot Fauci gets in front of a TV camera.

ReplyDeleteSigns are up everywhere around here again for the masking. Employees are masking but not enforcing, customers for the most part seem to be ignoring it. Our sheriff stated that he won't enforce it.

DeleteThere already are stores which are putting up "wear your mask" signs. They can go to hell. I've never worn a mask and do not intend to put one on my face now. While going maskless, I was verbally assaulted once by a customer of the store I was shopping. This customer was a nurse and I shut her up quickly by telling her that IF she's a nurse, she should know that masks do nothing. This entire fraud was put into place ONLY to insure Trump was booted out of office and to put fear of an invisible enemy into people. "Yinzer"

People will resist so long as there are no consequences for resisting. As soon as there are consequences, history shows that resistance will become more theoretical than actual. People regularly told Trump and Bush II to go fuck themselves. Didn't happen so much with Stalin or Mao, because those guys issued rebuttals.
