NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A driver is killed early this morning when a car landed on the roof of his car in Hermitage.
Metro Nashville police say the BMW that 20-year-old Ethan Harris, of Old Hickory , was driving landed on the roof a car being driven by 60-year-old James Gable, of Madison. This occurred on Lebanon Pike near Shute Lane at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
I almost feel bad for the kid... almost. Thinking back to all of the times I did stupid shit that could've ended up in a similar way. My life was blessed in many ways.
Had something similar happen here, but 20+ years ago IIRC. Woman driving in the left-most lane of the beltway was flattened when a delivery truck (UPS? FedEx?) going the other direction hit a jersey barrier, went airborne, turned turtle, and flattened her car. At least it's quick.
