California Legislature shelves bills issuing possible vaccine mandate — for now

California’s progressive state Legislature has shelved bills aimed at requiring workers to either be vaccinated or get weekly coronavirus testing to keep their jobs, punting on a debate about vaccine mandates just days before the state’s Democratic governor faces a recall election. 

California is already at the forefront the debate around vaccine mandates, with Gov. Gavin Newsom ordering all of the state’s roughly 2.2 million health care workers to either get vaccinated or lose their jobs while also directing state workers and teachers to either get vaccinated or submit to weekly testing.

    I can just see the lawyers lining up to sue each and every state and company that tries to put these "laws" into effect. I'm no expert, but, isn't "Innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty" the basis for our laws? The accused doesn't have to prove shit-the accusers must PROVE guilt! The onus of PROVING guilt lies on the accusers, as does the costs.

    In short, "I'm not sick, and if you think I am, it's up to you to PROVE it, beyond a reasonable doubt, and if you want to take this any further, talk to my lawyer!

      Yep. Except Kalifornistan is an at-will state. “We don’t care. We don’t have to prove jackshit. You’re fired.”

    So, remind me of all the reasons they give for getting the jab...
    1. It will protect you from getting Covid....no it doesn't, that's what they call "breakthrough cases"
    2. It will protect those around you from getting Covid....no it doesn't
    3. All you need is one shot....no, now they're up to 4
    And what's the deal with the "weekly testing"? What test? If it's the PCR test, even the FDA has decided it's wildly inaccurate and they're dumping it at year's end. Is THAT the test you must take weekly?
