Good neighbors are worth their weight in gold

A woman who was attacked by an alligator Thursday on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina was rescued by a neighbor who hit the animal with a shovel, authorities said. The unidentified woman was walking her dog at about 8 a.m. Thursday next to a lagoon at Hilton Head Plantation when she was attacked by the 8-foot gator, officials said.

Good Goin, neighbor! I heard you can shoot the crap out of those things and not stop them. Don't you Know seeing that thing appear, coming up outta the water and rushing at her was terrifying! I hope she recovers well. Someone otta see to it she gets the tanned hide.

  2. In the Everglades a 7 footer just real slowly started up the bank towards my wife. All I had was the butt end of a cane pole. No good. My dad happened to find a chunk of cement about the size of a toaster. Hard, square between the eyes. SPLAT! I don't think the gator even noticed. He got to the top of the bank and Dad tipped over our 5 gallon bucket of bait. He took a big gulp of the dead fish in it and went back in the water.
Feeding Gators is bad news. It can get the next poor guy killed.
Plus, don't take your dog by the water. They love dogs.

  3. How do I stop a croc/gator attack?
    Spine, brain?
    Disable a leg?
What causes fear in a croc/gator?

    1. Ear holes and back of the head are vulnerable points, but good luck getting to them.

Or, unleash a pack of river otters or a jaguar on them.
