Gov. Bill Lee Silent on Additional Afghan Refugees Relocating to Tennessee

The Tennessee-based Bridge Refugee Services is preparing to accept more Afghan refugees and send them to East Tennessee. 

The Tennessee Star twice on Wednesday contacted Governor Bill Lee’s communications staff to ask for comment and to ask what action, if any, he deemed necessary to respond to new Afghan refugees. 

Lee’s staff did not reply to either request.

    Ken,
    I wonder why the Afghans are better my sent anywhere except places like the Detroit area.
    Here in the Detroit area, we already have a large Muslim population, and are set up to sell Halal food. We have lots of mosques, and Islamic social groups. They could feel at home here quickly.
    When the Irish or Italians came in, no one told them where to go, why not let them join their co-religionists?

    The "refugee resettlement" scammers aren't even real charities, though they like to think that they are. They get millions of dollars a year from the taxpayers to import people for us to take care of, (so we get to pay for them at least twice)and the CEOs get about $300,000 a year.

    I’ve never understood why the government doesn’t send immigrants to locations similar to the environment they came from, Hmong and Somalis in Minnesota, really?! But as I got older I researched it and found out what the scam was, and now, unfortunately, it makes twisted sense. So sick of the bullshit going. I’m tired of it and I know many others are too. It’s just a matter time, “our patience is wearing thin”, sound familiar Old Joe?
