Each morning? I never see an egg in the morning, hell, I rarely see 2 eggs in the nesting boxes at the same time unless I go for several hours without checking - my birds all lay at different times during the day.

ReplyDeleteWhat kind of dogs, may I ask? I am going to own about -20 chickens by end of next month and have been thinking about getting dogs, but am concerned which breeds would protect them rather than attack them. Thanks in advance!
DeleteI don't know about any specific breeds. That asshole dog Jack is Pit and Catahoula and he's a real dick at times, but he pretty much ignores my birds as they all wander around the yard together.

Mine are usually done laying by mid to late morning on most days
