I bet the catfishing there is great

ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News is investigating headless goats found floating in the Chattahoochee River. Someone has dumped hundreds of decapitated goats over the past few years.

Channel 2′s Dave Huddleston cruised up the Chattahoochee River with Jason Ulseth, who works for the environmental group the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

As they approached the Interstate 20 bridge near the Fulton County and Cobb County border, “There’s a goat,” Ulselth said.

  2. These savages have absolutely nothing in common with the American people. And the so-called humans they have imported to fill their voter rolls ain’t much better. Eod1sg Ret

  3. "It turns out it was part of a religious ceremony for the followers of Santeria, a religion that mixes West African culture with Cuban Catholicism."

So that's what it was. Now boys, let's not do this in the river, m'kay?

    1. Purely hypothetical question: would those people know how to get blood out of curtains?

  4. I used to go bass fishing in West Point lake down at the Alabama/Georgia line and then work back up the Chattahoochee looking for those river bass which are stronger than the lake bass. The things you find floating in the river anywhere south of Atlanta staggers the imagination. I always worried about finding a body.

  5. Afghans wouldn't be wasting the meat. Too bad the geniuses at the DOT can't figure out how to put up a few discreet cameras on the bridge and start busting public nuisance tickets after collecting a few hundred bad actors. That would be a much better news story if you want it to stop.

  6. Well, I guess that it's not Voudoo, because they didn't eat the goats.

  7. Most of us locals think this story may be just some sort of fabrication or hype. We live here and haven't seen/heard about any of this and one of my clients is a guide on the river and he was as surprised as we were when they reported this. WSB is no different than the other MSM outlets out there so wouldn't be surprised if they found on or two goats and made a huge deal out of it.

  8. When I was in Airborne School at Ft Benning, the 1SG would always end every Friday safety brief with, “And don’t you go swimming in that Chattahoochee River. Every nasty thing in Atlanta is in that water.” I never imagined goats heads were an option, though.
