A popular ski resort at California’s Lake Tahoe has changed its name to remove a racist and misogynistic slur after consultations with local Indigenous groups.
The resort, known as Squaw Valley since 1949, will be called Palisades Tahoe, the business announced on Monday.
"Palisades TaKamala"?
ReplyDeleteWhy?
That will certainly help make the world a better place...
ReplyDeleteWhat a fuckin' gutless society we've become.
ReplyDeleteWhen they do this crap, spray paint can return it.
ReplyDeleteOr just, tale the damn sign and trash it in a dumpster
Never take the commies crap without payback
Squaw Valley, Redskins, Land O Lakes butter. One day the injuns will be bitchin they are forgotten and no represents them. I'm now a Florida Cracker, not really I'm a transplant. Did you know Florida had the first cowboys ever? Huge cattle farms and they used whips instead of Lasso's. Hence the name Cracker. To many it's a name of pride.
ReplyDeleteThere are places in Florida where they still herd cattle that way. I've seen it.

Only way I see this shit stopping is when people get a spine and simply ignore the silly bastards. All they're after is their 15 minutes of fame and notoriety, under the guise of "changing the world" for the better. They ain't changing fuckall, ain't improving anyones life, lifestyle or living situation, not improving education or employment opportunities. In fact they are doing nothing more than contributing to the global warming climate change so called catastrophe by contribute to the Co2 levels. If they all would simply remove themselves to the levels of fertilizer, the whirled would be a better place and plant life would appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteIt won't stop, you can't fix stupid.
ReplyDeleteWell, that there just disrespects the memory of the Injun gal the place was named for.
ReplyDeleteDaryl
Squaw Valley was named Squaw Valley by translating it from the Native name for it which was... Squaw Valley.
DeleteFucking dumbasses.
"It's never gonna stop, is it?"
ReplyDeleteWhen Americans, finally, at long last, go the way of the Tsar.
