My husband is a retired fire chief (53 years in the fire service) and today had lunch with a deputy fire chief from a neighboring department in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. His friend shared that his department has just been informed by their local trauma hospital (Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge) that any of the fire department paramedics who are unvaxxed will no longer be allowed to transport patients to the hospital effective immediately. The hospital systems run the certification programs for paramedics and therefor wield a lot of power over them. In our area, paramedics are crossed-trained to be firefighters.

ReplyDeleteWe are a small department and have recently had MANY shifts go unfilled. As in zero personnel on, both daytime 06:00 to 18:00 and the overnight from 18:00 to midnight (EMT only required). There are no candidates out there to hire. I typically do four days a week, but could work a lot more hours if I wanted. Until the weather turns colder and I work dark to dark, I'm sticking to my norm. A 3-day weekend every week is sweet. The lack of shift coverage is not my problem.

This bullshit is going to backfire something fierce when your grandpa or wife has an accident and can not be transported because the local EMTs are not vaxxed and they die because of it. Pissed off husbands, father and family are going to descend like the Four Horsemen on that Hospital bosses and the local politicians.

Wife's hospital is about to lose half of radiology. Fuck them. No billing when you can't do an x-ray, or CT scan, or ultrasound. That affects ALL departments. Goodbye cash flow.

The author of the article is correct. It is the intentional destruction of our medical system. The parasites that run this world view us a "useless eaters" and want most of us gone. They are starting with those of us that refuse to play Russian Roulette. We wouldn't play it with one bullet let alone the six they've loaded.
