Recall alert: Pfizer recalls anti-smoking drug Chantix

NEW YORK — Pfizer Inc. has recalled its anti-smoking drug, Chantix, citing high concentrations of an ingredient linked to increased cancer risk.

In a notice posted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website on Thursday, Pfizer confirmed that it is recalling Chantix 0.5 mg and 1 mg tablets due to the presence of N-nitroso-varenicline.

The cautionary recall was instigated because long-term ingestion of N-nitroso-varenicline can be associated with a “theoretical potential increased cancer risk in humans,” the notice stated.

Read that last sentence again. They're pulling this drug that has been on the market for years because there's a 'theoretical potential increased cancer risk', yet they're going full steam ahead with covid vaccines that didn't undergo nearly as much testing before being put on the market and shoved down our throats.
Why? Could it be because they can face massive lawsuits over Chantix, but not the vaccines?

  1. Yep.

And for anyone that wants to quit. I smoked 42 years, used the patch for 7 weeks, never looked back, never wanted another cig from the 1st day on the patch. Easiest thing I've ever done.

  2. Cancer people are still alive. The vax victims aren't.

  3. Probably only a cancer risk if you're using it at the same time you're using Roundup as a colon clenser. On the other hand it looks like the profit margin for Chantix fell below the sustainable for manufacture level.

  6. They don't want you to quit smoking!!!! The alternatives (e-cigs) are more restricted than regular cigarettes. Limit in Florida is 3 cartridges or 5 cartons (50 packs) per day w/driver license scan!! Keep on smoking folks - the government will kill you faster than tobacco.

  7. They wouldn't have kept this drug on the market for so long if they had known it caused cancer, now, would they?

  8. I took that shit twice , trying to quit. Ended up w/pancreatic cancer. Any connection to Chantix? Who knows? Smoking may well have caused pancreatic cancer on its own. I'll tell you one thing, cancer made me quit cold fuckin turkey after 40+ years. After 7 months smoke free my lungs are in good shape.
