Dealing with the underlying costs time and money. It isn't popular and doesn't generate useful news bites. Solving the problem also eliminates a means of expanding government control.

ReplyDeleteJust because Border Patrol Agents aren't allowed horses, that doesn't mean Texas DPS, or Texas National Guardsmen won't be riding horses and rounding up illegals. Besides, they could just fire a bunch of canisters of CS gas under that bridge, and those illegals would hotfoot it right back across the river.

Horses are exceptional force multipliers. A mounted officer can be worth half a dozen officers in foot. The commies in power DO NOT WANT the CBP agents to be effective.
