Those who ask for COVID-19 vaccine proof in Florida face a $5,000 fine

Florida will start issuing $5,000 fines to businesses, schools and government agencies that require people to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill earlier this year that banned vaccine passports. The fines will start Sept. 16 if people are asked to show proof of a vaccine.

  1. I am curious to see if the cruise ships will be fined for each passenger since they require proof to sail. I'm waiting for the cruise ships to come into port with everyone sick despite everyone being vaccinated - but I'm sure the MSM will keep that quiet.

    1. I read somewhere, one of the cruise lines had one dead and a bunch sick with it, in spite of everyone having taken the experimental gene therapy. Guess it doesn't work all that well, eh.

  5. I like DeSantis but after the Trump burn I’m wary. I would still trade Bill Lee for him in a minute.

    1. I'm not real fond of Billy Lee. Seems to be a fence straddler.

    2. "Fence straddler" describes most of the Tennessee GOP.

They're scared shitless of putting something more controversial than the budget on the Governor's desk

  6. Wirecutter, any side effects since you took the Ivermectin? I read that it can cause hair loss.

    1. Well, I lost about a foot of hair but that was at the local barber shop about a month before I started taking it. But no, no side effects and no more hair in the drain than usual.

  8. Disantis has been a great governor. Unfortunately he defeated a black, gay meth head by less than 1%. Approx 35,000 votes I believe. With all the Nooyawkers moving into the state (because of Disantis policies), I have a sad feeling that Florida will probably turn blue in the next election

  10. It is completely toothless because it exempts hospitals and businesses requiring them.

Typical politician doing or saying something that seems good, but a closer look reveals the opposite.

The law fails on all levels. It fails to establish its justification (defense of Natural Rights) and it fails to go far enough to protect those. It fails in both intent an execution.

  11. This is how you do it. BUT! Handing a $5000 ticket to a school or other government entity just means milking the taxpayers yet again.

They need to levy the fine on the INDIVIDUAL who asked the question. Make these fascist wannabes feel the pain where they live and then you'll see some damn fast attitude adjustments.
